Le Luchterhand was born in Vietnam but on April 26, 1975 he started his journey in agriculture. This was the day that he was picked up by his adoptive family where he was raised on a dairy farm in central Wisconsin. For nearly 2 years after completing his Bachelor of Animal Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville he continued to support University of Wisconsin animal research facilities. He started as an intern and then took a position as Assistant Herd Manager at the Dairy Cattle Center, working directly with the graduate students and their nutrition studies. Le accepted an opportunity with Land O Lakes to be a field nutritionist at a cooperative in eastern Wisconsin, where he began a career supporting dairies on management and nutrition.
